Huawei Digital Power Seals Several Key Digitalization Deals with Petroleum Sector Companies at EGYPES 2024

Creating a tidal wave of technological innovation, Huawei Digital Power has signed several memoranda of understanding (MoU) during the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024 to support the digital transformation of the Egyptian petroleum sector.

The first agreement was signed between Huawei Digital Power and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for cooperation in digitizing the petroleum and energy sectors, increasing production, and boosting energy transition by providing the latest digital energy sustainability solutions.

This agreement is part of Huawei’s strategy to build communities free of carbon. Under this agreement, Huawei will provide smart solutions and green energy-based data center facilities to petroleum sector projects for a more sustainable and greener future.

The agreement was signed by Iman Ahmed Wafy, CEO Assistant for Information Technology and Telecommunications at the EGPC, in the presence of Alaa El Batal, Chairman of EGPC, and Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt, and in the presence of Ibrahem Ramadan, Executive Director of Business Development at Huawei Digital Power. It also took place in the presence of many prominent figures in the petroleum and energy sector, on the sidelines of the company’s participation in EGYPES 2024 for the fourth time in a row, under the slogan “Unlocking energy sustainability and integrating data transmission.”

Additionally, Huawei has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Enppi to provide technological solutions in the fields of energy, petroleum, and digital energy.

 

According to the first MoU, Huawei will participate in providing the latest digital technologies which will enable the transition to digital and clean energy, including smart photovoltaic energy solutions that work to develop and improve new resources of energy, such as solar energy, and establish smart infrastructures for data centers based entirely on integrated and smart storage units. It was signed by Wael Lotfy, Chairman and CEO of Enppi, and Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt.

 

The second MoU stated that Huawei Digital Power will boost the digital and technological transition among Enppi projects by merging its expertise and smart technologies. It was signed by Wael Lotfy, Chairman and CEO of Enppi, and Josh Zhao, Managing Director of Energy Business Unit – Huawei Egypt. 

Huawei Digital Power has also signed two MoUs with the Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Company (Petromaint) and the Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC San Misr) to provide advanced energy solutions and boost productivity for both companies by implementing low-carbon data center facilities.

These facilities are designed to be highly energy-efficient and promote a sustainable environmental system based on artificial intelligence and big data technologies. The facilities also include smart photovoltaic energy solutions and smart PV energy storage systems, in addition to integrated and intelligent management systems for energy supplies and backup power systems, iSitePower.

The MoU with Petromaint was signed by Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt, and Ibrahim Motawea, Chairman & Managing Director of Petromaint, in the presence of Ibrahem Ramadan, Executive Director of Business Development at Huawei Digital Power.

The MoU with EMC (San Misr) was signed by Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt, and Khaled Ibrahim, the Chairman and Managing Director of EMC (San Misr).
